Glutaone Inj. 1200 mg is a prescription injectable medicine from South Korea containing 1,200 mg of reduced glutathione per vial. It is supplied as a white porous solid that is dissolved before administration.
Its approved indication in Korea is the prevention of neurological complications caused by cisplatin or similar chemotherapy agents. It is administered by intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion under medical supervision.
Although glutathione injections are marketed for skin brightening, this is outside the product’s listed Korean indication. Evidence supporting intravenous glutathione for cosmetic skin lightening remains limited, and its effectiveness and long-term safety are not well established.
Possible adverse reactions include rash, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and, rarely, severe allergic reactions. Store the product in a sealed container at 1–30°C, and use it immediately after reconstitution.
